The Norwegian Forest Cat Look

The Norwegian Forest Cat is a breed of domestic cat originating in Northern Europe. This natural breed is adapted to a very cold climate, with a top coat of glossy, long, water-shedding hairs and a woolly undercoat for insulation. It is a big, strong cat, similar to the Main Coon breed, with long legs, a bushy tail and a sturdy body. The breed is very good at climbing, since they have strong claws. The lifespan is usually 14 to 16 years. They’re a rugged looking cat which suits their name perfectly. Norwegian Forest cats do require regular grooming to keep their oats looking their best.

Norwegian Forest Cat Personality

The Norwegian Forest Cat is a loving companion. They have a sweet personality and they bond well with their owners. They appreciate praise and attention while they patrol their territory, keeping an eye out for any pesky invaders. They have never forgotten their heritage so they love to hunt and play with toys. They enjoy hiding, running and ambushing their toys!
